06:59 pm - I know it's been forever So this is pretty random, but I've been hanging out at my brother's apartment in Seattle and thought "Hey, I haven't been to livejournal for a while. Maybe I should check it out" And here I am..
What am I doing in Seattle, you ask? I'm going to go see TENACIOUS D tonight!! I pretty much have the coolest brother ever and he surprised me with tickets to go see them tonight. Should be a blast..
Hmmm....well I've been going to PLU still, majoring in Psychology so far, playing Ultimate Frisbee, working at a Boys and Girls Club down here, and hanging out with friends. I've also been kind of catching up with people from AK I've lost touch with, like Jaimz..I'm actually going to see her in a few weeks, when she comes down to train for a new job. Then this summer I'll be in Alaska again!! I got a job working on the McKinley Explorer, the train that goes from Anchorage to Fairbanks, as a bartender. Should be pretty interesting, I think it'll be fun. Plus, I'll be working with Ben and Jennie! Yay!
Well, I'm going to go now...maybe you'll hear from me again in a year or so :P Or maybe sometime before then.

10:22 pm - I like this.
| The Keys to Your Heart | You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.
In love, you feel the most alive when things are straight-forward, and you're told that you're loved.
You'd like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was ruthless, cold-blooded, and sarcastic.
Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.
Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.
You think of marriage as something that will confine you. You are afraid of marriage.
In this moment, you think of love as something you can get or discard anytime. You're feeling self centered. |

01:22 pm - Personality tests....Not quite sure if they're true, but fun? Yes.
| | The Nurse Random Gentle Sex Dreamer (RGSDf)
Friendly and eager. Sexy in white. You are The Nurse.
Like your male counterpart, The Poolboy, you're a fun and goofy, but giving, friend. You believe that life and love should be taken with a grain of salt. We'll bet you smile a lot, which people find contagious.
Your exact opposite: The Battleaxe Deliberate Brutal Love Master | If only they knew the reason...the fact is, you spend WAY more time fantasizing than the average girl. While your friends lean desperately towards love, you're chemically biased towards anti-love: sex. You'd never date someone you didn't find immediately kissable.
To maximize satisfaction, you should find someone carefree and sexual, just like you. Avoid Brutal types at all costs. A final bit of advice: experience doesn't matter. You didn't qualify as a Master, and your perfect match need not either. Consider both The Poolboy and The Playboy.
BUT ALWAYS AVOID: The False Messiah, The Mixed Messenger |

12:47 am - Yeeeahhhhh Ultimate! Ohhhh my gosh. Tonight was the beginning of a long, fruitful history. It was the first time I've ever played Ultimate, and it rocked my world!!
I've never gotten into it before, but Dan and I were soooo bored on a Friday night (on a college campus-I know, this was a travesty) and we were on our way to Dan's room to watch a movie when we were intercepted by a few of his friends on their way to Foss Field to play frisbee. I was a little reluctant since I've never played before, but thought what the heck, I'm bored and it was SOOOOO AWESOME!
Just had to document it. Let it be known. Current Mood: Sweeet Current Music: The Used - Blue and Yellow

01:34 pm - Banana Pancakes I had the strangest dream about American Music last night. Lauren was there, and we were buying guitar strings. But the weird thing is, we were trying to match a high E string on a bass, but they didn't have a light enough gauge. And I was eating these pringles that tasted like jalapenos. Not kidding. And earlier I had had a dream that my boss, Greg, gave me this pita pocket type "sandwich" that had a huge jalapeno inside...what does this mean?? I don't even like jalapenos. Well, unless they're in the muffins from The Bayou, but those are small.
I have a test in Anatomy tomorrow, and my boss is cool enough to let me come in an hour early and leave an hour early so I can go to a study session. That's awesome. Sooo I'm going to go to work and then study...and then *dun dun dun* It's Grey's Anatomy time! Yay!
I went to PLU's Spring Formal last night and it was really fun. Dan and I went with Lauren and her boyfriend Danny, Jennie K, and our friend Erin. We went to this hole in the wall Greek place called It's Greek to Me, and it took us about an hour to find it. Hah. But it was well worth it, and then we headed off to the dance. Homecoming earlier in the year was more fun than this dance was, but it was at a much cooler place. Formal was at the Tacoma Convention Center, and Homecoming was at Jillian's. Jillian's has a small dance floor but another room full of free video games. And both places had a chocolate fountain, which was nevertheless pretty sweet.
For now? Work and studying.. Current Mood: cheerful Current Music: Jack Johnson

05:03 pm - my nose keeps whistling Time goes by sooooooo quickly. I like going to school and really don't want to do anything else. Maybe my opinion on that will change when I get older, but for now that's it.
I got a job! YESSSSS. NPCC = coffee, music, food, live bands, open mic nights, alcohol on tap (which I can serve when I get my lisence, which will feel weird) right down the street, did I mention coffee?
Been watching movies and TV on DVD lately, like the Sex and the City and CSI series. Been also staying over at Erin's house lately, which is nice with the non-dorm room atmosphere (mom included) with real food. I'm also going to take a real bath in their real bathtub, which is a suprising commodity that one misses when living on a college campus. We discovered a new series called Grey's Anatomy; picture a mixture of ER and Scrubs, and you've got one addictive and kick-ass hour of entertainment.
One of my friends from the Spring Break Utah trip, Lorraine, is a senior Biology student doing an independent study on cadavers. Even though she's not supposed to, she's letting me help her dissect them on Thursday afternoons. It's so incredible, doing that never ceases to amaze me. Lorraine is so aweosme, I'm going to miss her when she goes back to Kenya this summer.
Speaking of this summer, I hope it'll be fun...Jen and I have plans to do lots of frisbee, hiking, camping, and possibly a road trip or two to the spit and/or Seward for 4th of July.
Really should get that essay done.
Really. Current Mood: content Current Music: STI - Joyful Sound

06:39 pm - all over the place. When did we stop saying "I love you"? Just because we've been friends for a few years doesn't mean I don't care anymore.
Why can't I get a hug from my best friend in Ak? 2400 miles is SO far away.
Why can't I clear my head to get to the straight answers lying
underneath? And once I find those, why can't I have the courage
to carry them out?
Where's the button that makes it all better? Mine's broken.
I thought I left all these emotions back in high school.

11:13 am - Vagina Happy Fact... So the first day of classes went pretty well. I have a few novels to read but that's not going to be huge, I hope. Today's my Anthro day, which should be fun. Lynn and Dan are both in that class with me. Lol she's my roommate and I have two classes with her...I have my other two with Dan. Well, both of them will keep me in line for studying, for sure.
Anyway, I'm performing in the Vagina Monologues next week and I wish all of my Alaskan friends could come see me! It's going to be great. Here's my line, it's a little racy but believe me, it's nothing compared to some others:
Here is a vagina happy fact. This is from "Woman: An Intimate Geography," by Natalie Angier. (pronounced An-Jay)
The clitoris is pure in purpose. It is the only organ int he body designed purely for pleasure. The clitoris is simply a bundle of nerves: 8,000, to be precise. That's a higher concentration of nerve fibers than is found anywhere else in the male or female body, including the fingertips, lips, and tongue, and it is twice, twice, twice the number in hte penis. Who needs a hand gun when you've got a semi-automatic?
Isn't that great? The last line is optional, but I kinda like it. So all of you Washington people should come. Sure, it'll be a lot of estrogen, but there are some really awesome stories. Some are intense but many of them are funny. Well Lynn and I are going to jet off to the gym, so I'll catch you later!
